Transport data and maps

Vehicle positions and timetables come from open public transport data through Trafiklab. SkåneLive calculates departures and journey suggestions using Trafiklab timetables and available real-time updates. The map is based on data from OpenStreetMap contributors. Map tiles are served by OSM France using the HOT map style.

Real-time information may sometimes be delayed, incomplete or temporarily unavailable. Check information that is essential to your journey through Skånetrafiken's official channels.

How often the information updates

The open map normally requests new vehicle positions about every three seconds. Station departures update about every thirty seconds and service updates about once a minute. Frequent map updates pause while the tab is hidden to save battery and data.

When a recent estimated time is available, it appears before the original scheduled time. If the times differ, the older time is crossed out and any difference in minutes is shown. The information is guidance, not a guarantee.
